This school was built around 1900. Brian and Marcy Proctor bought the schoolhouse from Frances N. VanderKolk on July 2, 1984. They converted it into a two bedroom, one bathroom rental home. When purchased, it had a chalkboard where the front window is now. The original step up to the chalkboard was left in place. The second bedroom was added to the original structure. The small entry/foyer was added on top of the concrete slab. The original wood shed is still standing next to the schoolhouse. It also has a pit where the outhouse was located in the back of the property. Unfortunately, there is no bell at the top.

In December of 2021, Jill (Proctor) and her husband Randy James, took over the rental. They gave it a facelift in the summer of 2022.
